There are also cylinders made to withstand snapping. This is a typical attack on cylinders. A specific tool is used to break the break line of the lock, and then the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is a lot faster and less difficult than opening the door with multipoint locks. It also leaves no evidence of a break-in which can hinder an insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

The spring cassette is located within the base of your door handle backplate providing a sprung solution that returns your multipoint lock handles to their original position after using. These handles used to have no spring and would droop when the locking mechanism was disconnected. This simple feature is one of the most effective ways to fix this, and is an excellent way to stop your doors made of upvc from getting stuck in the open or closed position, since they aren't always easy to manually close by hand.

These spring cassettes are specifically designed for use with multipoint locks that are sprung but they won't work with non-sprung multipoint handles.
