The frame's weight is less than a kilo, and is so lightweight that you can lift it from the box using just one hand.

It's also easy to add or remove attachments or adaptors - the hood, for instance, snaps onto the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks and is machine washable at 30deg to remove staining from rice cakes smushed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It could also be converted into a stroller at 6 months with the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is an excellent choice for parents looking for a versatile stroller. It transforms from a stroller to wagon just by flipping the handle, which means parents can choose the mode they prefer for their journey. The wagon can be used by one or two kids from 6 months to 5 years, and it has a wide storage basket that can accommodate all of your on-the-go needs.

The Xplore has two canopies that are able to rotate from front to back, ensuring adequate sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than some wagons. This isn't suitable for long journeys or naps.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, but it does not flex like other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it isn't able to lock securely after folding. It is easy to move however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It scored well in our top single strollers and Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions, which means it's lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to move and store into a car trunk. It also has an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as an adult cup holder. Other key features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It did better in our push and turn test than many of the strollers we tested, but it is still difficult to maneuver over uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only a direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger sunshades.

It took us just under 3 minutes to assemble the Delta using a standard manual. None of the parts required tools. However, it's missing some critical features that we think you should consider non-negotiable for a double stroller for example, a larger basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

It includes a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible car seat.

It is really easy to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the super large shopping basket make it easy for parent-tots to get the child in and out of the seat quickly. The narrow best single pushchair sailed through all day bumps and doorways with ease.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward direction, or they can rotate. This is helpful when navigating rough terrain. When we walked along the stony path we let them swivel and it did this quite well, although it seemed slightly bumpier than other models in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is a household name for their three-wheeled, all-terrain jogging pushchairs, but they also offer a great assortment of strollers with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is easy to use and folds down small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers we've tested, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver over various terrains and even with two kids with shopping bags and other things.

The seat and carrycot both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other prams' hoods that get turned back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have an ample basket that is deep enough to hold a changing bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also pair it with a Baby Jogger car seat for babies who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are available separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to take a stroller on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a single standing stroller that won the hearts of a large number of parents when it first appeared. It's an aluminum-framed stroller that can be used from the infant's first days until. It has many standout features, like the ability of the seat to flip between the parent and the world and a huge UPF50+ canopy with an eye shade that flips out, and an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with a suspension system built-in which reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed from tough foam and minimise punctures. It was simple to push and our test driver was able to maneuver the car through the narrow streets.

It folds in four simple steps and locks automatically with no fuss. It is also able to stand and be carried by trolley for easier transport in the car's boot or down the stairs at home. It's also very light and robust. The seat can be reclined in several positions. It comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two large sun visors that can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't great because it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be adapted to accommodate twins or siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and works with a few carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be placed so that they face each one. They can also be set to face the parents. This will help lessen sibling fights over who gets seated with dad and mom. It comes with a big gear tray, a bottle holder and snack tray. It also has an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the ideal stroller for parents who like to be active.
