The handles on your doors wear out over time and will need to be replaced. When replacing them, it is essential that the new handles are in line with the critical dimensions of the old handle.

Inline Lever/Lever

Lever Pad

The handles have been tested to at least 200 000 cycles and are available in a variety of finishes including White, Silver, Chrome & Gold. The finish meets BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, thereby giving the handle a high level of durability and performance for its intended use.

A euro cylinder should be measured accurately to ensure that it is the correct size for your door. The cylinder needs to be measured from the screw hole at the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, if there is one. It is recommended to do this while the lock is in place, but if this is not possible, you may take it off to measure. A cylinder that is protruding beyond the handle and escutcheon could be vulnerable to attacks such as snapping locks, therefore it is important that it is not too long.

The majority of modern cylinders have been made with bump and anti-drill features included in their design. They are designed to minimize attack chances by forcing the cylinders to rotate in a different direction. This can help to deflect an attack and keep your door safe.

Certain cylinders are made to resist snapping. This is a common attack on cylinders. A specific tool is used to break the lock's break line and then the front of cylinder is snapped off. This is a faster and easier way to gain access than the use of a multipoint locking system. It also leaves less evidence of the burglary which can make it difficult to prove insurance claims.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette sits in the base of your door handle backplate, supplying a spring-loaded solution and returning your multipoint lock handles to their normal position after usage. In the past, a lot of handles of this kind did not have a spring integrated into them, and as a result, they are more likely to slide or drop once the locking mechanism is disengaged.
